Muchos de los seguidores de la Temporada Campbell recuerdan al Cuarteto Ventura, el cual descubrí por casualidad en Culiacán, cuando me invitaron a una reunión en la casa del Arreglista y guitarra principal del grupo, Leoncio Bernal Amador.

Me tomó casi un par de años más descubrir que este talentoso grupo forma parte de una de la Rondalla del Sector Educativo. Sus integrantes son maestros de educación artística en Culiacán. En los últimos 20 años han ganado todas las competencias y premios que para este género musical hay en México, entre los conocedores de este estilo musical son reconocidos y famosos.

Sin embargo, en Culiacán y Mazatlán casi nadie los conoce, es un honor para mí presentarles a este grupo.

Many concert goers will remember the Ventura Quartet which I discovered by chance in Culiacán after accepting a personal invitation to the house of their chief arranger and lead guitarist.

They were and are outstanding but it took almost another year to discover that this talented group is part of a larger group that is termed Rondalla. All the members are teachers with in the education system of Culiacán, but it turns out that they have won every competition and award for their genre in Mexico for the last 20 years. Within their style and genre, they are champions and famous.

In Culiacán and Mazatlán almost nobody knows anything about them. It will be my honor to present this outstanding group of National Champions
