Con el programa “Las grandes serenatas para cuerdas de Dvorak y Tchaikovsky” la Temporada Gordon Campbell 2018 ofreció una excepcional tarde de domingo en el Teatro Ángela Peralta.

El devoto público de extranjeros y mexicanos que el maestro Gordon Campbell ha creado en el puerto con el apoyo incondicional del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán fue testigo de la fuerte identidad que la Camerata Campbell ha creado a través de los años bajo la batuta del director estadounidense.

Primero la “Serenata para cuerdas en Mi Mayor Op. 22” de Antonin Dvorak abrió la presentación. En sus cinco movimientos, el compositor checoslovaco plasmó una serie de pasajes que mostraron la complejidad de su talento: atmósferas etéreas dibujadas a ritmo de vals; momentos llenos de elegancia; exaltación, dramatismo y parsimonia, e incluso, un destello de arrebato al final de la pieza, hicieron que el público estallara en un aplauso atronador y en gritos de ¡bravo! para reconocer la pasión de los músicos de la Camerata Campbell.

Al regreso del intermedio, y con gran inteligencia y sensibilidad, el maestro Campbell presentó a los miembros de su Camerata: hombres y mujeres venidos de Rusia, Ucrania, Rumania, España, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Estados Unidos y México que han encontrado en esta agrupación un lugar para realizarse.

Terminada esta presentación violines, violas, cellos y contrabajo abordaron la “Serenata para cuerdas en Do Mayor No. 48” de Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, pieza que de acuerdo al maestro Campbell es la “prueba de fuego” para la música de cuerdas y en sus cuatro movimientos pintó la alta emotividad que el compositor ruso volcó sobre sus obras.

Obra llena de matices, un inicio portentoso, un desarrollo que se debate entre un alegre vals y una elegía dramática e intensa y un vertiginoso tema ruso a manera de cierre dejaron ver la pasión, inteligencia, rigor y sensibilidad que los músicos de la Camerata Campbell han convertido en una especie de valor de identidad para la agrupación.

El público, profundamente emocionado, volvió a vibrar en un aplauso fuerte y prolongado que hizo que los músicos lucieran conmovidos y agradecidos por contar en Mazatlán con una audiencia que sabe reconocer su amor a la música.

El próximo domingo, el programa “The National Champion Rondalla”, la agrupación más importante en su género en todo México, cerrará la Temporada Gordon Campbell 2018 con su presentación en el Teatro Ángela Peralta a las 12:00 horas. Great Serenades by Dvorak and Tchaikovsky

With the program "The Great Serenades for Strings by Dvorak and Tchaikovsky" the Gordon Campbell 2018 Season offered an exceptional Sunday afternoon at the Angela Peralta Theater.

The devout public of foreigners and Mexicans that maestro Gordon Campbell has created in the port with the unconditional support of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan witnessed the strong identity that the Camerata Campbell has created over the years under the leadership of the American director.

First the "Serenade for Strings in E major Op. 22" by Antonin Dvorak opened the presentation. In his five movements, the Czechoslovakian  composer captured a series of passages that showed the complexity of his talent: ethereal atmospheres drawn to the rhythm of Waltz; moments full of elegance; exaltation, drama and parsimony, and even a flash of rapture at the end of the piece, made the audience burst into thunderous applause and shouts of bravo!, recognizing the passion of the musicians of the Camerata Campbell.

Upon returning from intermission, and with great intelligence and sensitivity, Maestro Campbell presented the members of his Camerata: men and women from Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, the United States and Mexico who have found in this grouping, a place to perform.

After this presentation violins, violas, cellos and double bass tackled the "Serenade forSstrings in C major No. 48" by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a piece that according to maestro Campbell is the "test of fire" for string music and in its four movements painted the high emotion that the Russian composer overturnedwith his works.

A work full of nuances, a portentous beginning, a development that is torn between a happy waltz and a dramatic and intense elegy and a dizzying Russian theme as a close, let us see the passion, intelligence, rigor and sensitivity that the musicians of the Camerata Campbell have converted into a kind of identity for the grouping.

The audience, deeply moved, returned to vibrate in a loud and prolonged applause that made moved the musicians who were grateful to be in Mazatlan with an audience that knows how to recognize their love of music.

Next Sunday, the program "The National Champion Rondalla", the most important group in its genre in all of Mexico, will close the Gordon Campbell Season 2018 with its presentation at the Angela Peralta Theater at 12 noon.
