Durante la velada se acentúo que además de ser un destino de sol y playa Mazatlán se distingue por poseer un Centro Histórico y una intensa actividad cultural los 365 días del año, que lo posiciona como Ciudad de Grandes Eventos, ante los ojos del mundo.
“A night dream in Mazatlan” tuvo como anfitriones al Gobernador de Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel; al Presidente Municipal de Mazatlán, Fernando Pucheta Sánchez y al Secretario de Turismo, Marco Antonio García Castro.
Para compartir la grandeza artística de este destino turístico, el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, bajo la dirección general Raúl Rico González, presentó en el escenario al Coro Guillermo Sarabia y en el foso a la Camerata Mazatlán. El fluido repertorio incluyó una selección de exquisitas piezas de zarzuela española, ópera italiana, ópera ligera, musicales, boleros y música sinaloense bajo la experimentada batuta del maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda.
Al correr el telón del máximo recinto cultural, coro y orquesta dieron la bienvenida a los visitantes con la Obertura Revolucionaria, después el programa giró hacia la picardía de la zarzuela a través de Las seguidillas de La Verbena de la Paloma; Mazurca de Luisa Fernanda de Federico Moreno Torroba; Despierta negro de Sorozabal – Sarachaga -Fernández en la voz grave de Miguel Valenzuela acompañado por el Coro Guillermo Sarabia y Las Carceleras de la zarzuela Las hijas del Zebedeo, de Ruberto Chapí.
Eduardo Tapia, Fernanda Osuna, Rebeca De Rueda, Iván Valdez y el Coro Guillermo Sarabia, sorprendieron a la audiencia con su virtuosismo y desempeño escénico al revivir algunas de las arias más notables de la ópera italiana como el Brindis de La Traviata de G. Verdi; O’mio Babbino Caro y Nessun Dorma de la ópera Turandot de Puccini.
La música mexicana brilló con algunas de las piezas más sobresalientes del bolero como Dime que sí;, Júrame de María Grever; y un popurrí de Juan Gabriel, para después dar paso a éxitos del teatro musical como I Dreamed a dream y I am easily assimilated candide.
En esta noche de música del mundo, no podían faltar las canciones del ídolo de México Pedro Infante como el tema Yo no fuí de la inspiración de Consuelo Velázquez y la algarabía de la música sinaloense a través de un popurrí de canciones del dominio popular como El palo verde, la India Bonita y El Barzón, del reconocido cantautor sinaloense Luis Pérez Meza, que hicieron posible una alegre y colorida escena musical con la participación de bailarines del Ballet Folklórico de Cultura que dirige el maestro Javier Arcadia.
El concierto que cosechó nutridos aplausos del público sorprendió en la parte final con la interpretación de El corrido a Mazatlán, a petición del Gobernador de Sinaloa Quirino Ordaz y El Sinaloense, que puso a bailar y cantar a todo el elenco mientras una lluvia de imágenes de los atractivos turísticos del puerto eran proyectados como aderezo de la grata velada.

Mazatlán promoted as a cultural destination with music of the world
In the search to increase the flow of tourism and promote the port as a cultural destination, a concert was offered to tour promoters at the Angela Peralta Theater on Monday.
During the evening, it wasw emphasized that besides being a destination of sun and beach, Mazatlán distinguishes itself by having a Centro Historico and intense cultural activity 365 days a year, which positions it as a “City of Great Events”, in the eyes of the world.
"Dream of a Night in Mazatlan” was hosted by the Governor of Sinaloa, Quirino Ordaz Coppel; the Mayor of Mazatlán, Fernando Pucheta Sánchez, and the Secretary of Tourism, Marco Antonio García Castro.
To share the artistic grandeur of this tourist destination, the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, under the general direction of Raúl Rico González, presented the Guillermo Sarabia Choir and the Camerata Mazatlán on stage. The fluid repertoire included a selection of exquisite pieces from Spanish zarzuela, Italian opera, light opera, musicals, boleros and Sinaloan music under the experienced baton of the maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda.
When the curtain of the best cultural stage opened, the choir and orchestra welcomed the visitors with the Revolutionary Overture, then the program turned to the the playfulness of the zarzuela through Las Seguidillas from La Verbena de la Paloma; Mazurca from Luisa Fernanda by Federico Moreno Torroba; Despierto Negro from Sorozabal - Sarachaga - Fernandez in the deep voice of Miguel Valenzuela accompanied by the Guillermo Sarabia Choir and Las Carceleras from the zarzuela The Daughters of Zebedeo by Ruberto Chapí.

Verdi ; O´mio Babbino Caro and Nessun Dorma from Puccini´s opera Turandot.
Mexican music shone with some of the most outstanding pieces of bolero such as Dime que si, Jurame by Maria Grever; and a potpourri of songy by Juan Gabriel, giving way to hits from musical like I Dreamed a Dream and I am Easily Assimilated Candide.
On this night of music of the world, the songs of the Idol of Mexico, Pedro Infante, could not be left out: Yo No Fui from Consuelo Velázquez and the lure of Sinaloan music through a potpourri of popular songs like El Palo Verde, India Bonita and El Barzón, by renowned Sinaloa singer-songwriter Luis Pérez Meza, who made possible a lively and colorful musical scene with the participation of dancers from the Ballet Folklorico de Cultura directed by maestro Javier Arcadia.
The concert that garnered great applause from the public surprised all in the final part with the performance of El Corrido de Mazatlán, at the request of the Governor of Sinaloa Quirino Ordaz and El Sinaloense, the whole cast danced while a rain of images of the tourist attractions of the port were projected the icing on the cake of the pleasant evening.
